The Department of Computing, Information and Mathematical Sciences, and Technology (CIMST) at 窪做惇蹋厙 (窪做惇蹋厙) proudly recognized and celebrated four distinguished faculty members who are retiring during the 20252026 academic year. A special retirement recognition luncheon was held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, to honor their many years of dedicated service, teaching excellence, mentorship, and contributions to the university community.

The luncheon brought together CIMST faculty members, colleagues, and university leadership to celebrate the accomplishments and lasting impact of the retirees. Dean Mark Smith of the College of Arts and Sciences attended the event and expressed appreciation for the retirees years of commitment to student success, academic excellence, and service to 窪做惇蹋厙.

During the gathering, faculty members shared memories, stories, and words of appreciation highlighting the retirees contributions to teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, research, and departmental growth. The event reflected the strong sense of community and collegiality within the CIMST Department.
In addition to the departmental celebration, 窪做惇蹋厙 President Zaldwaynaka Z Scott and Provost Sonja Feist-Price hosted a university-wide Retirement Celebration on Monday, May 11, 2026, to honor 窪做惇蹋厙 faculty and staff members retiring this year. The event took place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the 窪做惇蹋厙 Official Residence and recognized the outstanding service and dedication of retiring university employees across campus.


The CIMST Department extends its sincere gratitude and best wishes to Dr. Attele, Dr. Chern, Dr. Gomez, and Dr. Hrozencik for their remarkable contributions to Chicago State University and the many students whose lives they have positively impacted throughout their careers. Their legacy of scholarship, mentorship, and service will continue to inspire future generations of faculty and students.
